The state prosecutor Dmitry Shokhin today asked the court to extend the term of the ex-head of the Yukos NK Mikhail Khodorkovsky in custody until May 14, 2005, RBC reports. Speaking today in the Meshchansky Court of Moscow, where the process of Khodorkovsky and Plato Lebedev is taking place, the state prosecutor indicated to the court that, if he was released from custody, the ex-head of the Yukos could prevent the establishment of truth in the case, put pressure on witnesses that have not yet been questioned by the court, and hide. Based on these arguments, the state prosecutor asked to extend the detention of Khodorkovsky for another 3 months (the term of the detention of Mikhail Khodorkovsky expires on February 14).
