Darkin became the first unreasonable governor and will manage Primorye for five years

Sergei Darkin became the first unremarked governor in modern Russia. At a meeting on Friday, the Legislative Assembly of Primorye endowed him with the powers of the Governor of the Territory, approved the candidacy submitted for consideration by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The 41-year-old Darkin will lead the Primorye for another five years.

Immediately after the announcement of the voting results of the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Primorye, who endowed Sergei Darkin with the authority of the Governor of the Territory, took the oath.

Entering over the post, Sergei Darkin noted that his main tasks are "settling the issues of monetization of benefits and doubling the gross product of the region by 2008." The governor also intends to implement 18 target programs developed at the end of 2004 aimed at the economic development of Primorye and affecting such leading industries as the fish industry, construction, and agriculture.

Primorye governor Sergei Darkin was the first of the leaders of the constituent entities of the Federation to address the President of Russia with a question of trust. Darkin's powers expire on June 25. According to the law on a change in the procedure for the election of the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the popularly elected head of the region may raise the issue of trust in him before the President of Russia. Sergei Darkin himself explained his appeal to the president by the fact that "he would like to implement those 18 programs of socio-economic development of Primorye, which were developed by the administration of the region under his leadership at the end of 2004."

Recall, according to the new scheme of the heads of executive power of the territories, regional legislative assemblies approve, and the president of the country is offered a candidate for this position.
