Members of the House of Lords looked at the life of Muslims, talked with deputies of the Tatarstan parliament, visited the Islamic University - and were absolutely satisfied with everything. There is no radicalism in the republic, the Lords noted. And they were not mistaken. Thanks to the reasonable religious policy of the authorities of Tatarstan, religious peace reigns there. The situation is worse in central Russian cities: here the authorities are increasingly denying Muslims the construction of mosques and are increasingly subjecting them to unjustified persecution.
