Today, February 16, the Kyoto Protocol entered into force - the favorite child of the European Union.

What is the European Union? These are the costs of European democracy. This is a solution to the problem of pension employment of former prime ministers and presidents of European countries. These are thirty thousand officials who are busy with the invention of ways to justify their own existence.

What is a kyotsky protocol? This is the most ingenious bureaucratic invention since the time of clay tablets. No one, in essence, knows how harmful emissions affect the ozone hole, and certainly the calculations on which the protocol itself is based are outdated, like Watt's steam engine. But who cares about scientific theories, when a whole caste of officials appears, who are busy with the ideal work of the bureaucrat. They consider air molecules. They will not bring benefits, but also harm - from the fact that there will be less harmful emissions, no one will definitely be worse.

There is no benefit from Russia from the Kyoto protocol: we will not sell quotas due to us for harmful emissions, because the European Union will buy them first from the member countries: Poland, etc. There will be no particular harm: we will not soon choose the quotas due to us.

Russia ratified the Kyoto protocol as a gift to the European Union. Like, we are a protocol for you, and you will shut up about Yukos. If the European Union was dictatorship, such a barter would be possible. But since the European Union is arranged differently, nothing came of an attempt to foil a bribe in the form of a ratified Kyoto protocol. And President Putin was thanked by the resolution on Chechnya and the recognition of the Yukos case by political.

There is nothing more stupid than trying to give the greyhounds of an extensive and autonomous bureaucracy. At the same time, some get puppies, others are made by others, and others form public opinion.
