
Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the Kursk Regional Duma the candidacy of Alexander Mikhailov to give him the powers of the Governor of the Kursk region.
According to the press service of the President of Russia, the head of state sent the relevant letter to the chairman of the regional Duma Alexander Anpilov, RIA Novosti reports.
Mikhailov is the current governor of the Kursk region. He became the fourth governor, whose candidacy the president submitted to the legislative assembly of the subject of the Federation for approval to the governor's post in accordance with the new procedure for the election of regional managers.
