Vladimir Putin made two more candidates for governor posts on Saturday for consideration of regional meetings. At the head of the Jewish Autonomous Region, he would like to see Nikolai Volkov, and, in his opinion, the Amur Region should be managed by Leonid Korotkov.
Both candidates previously led these regions, but they preferred their powers ahead of schedule and addressed the question of trust in the head of state. The president of trust in them, and soon, there is practically no doubt about this, these officials will return to their governor chairs.
Earlier, according to this scheme, they returned to their offices: the head of the Vladimir region Nikolai Vinogradov, the Tyumen region - Sergey Sobyanin, and the Primorsky Territory - Sergey Darkin. The former and probably the future governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov is also in line. His candidacy has already been introduced by Vladimir Putin to approve the local regional Duma.
Amendments to the article of the Federal Law "On the General Principles of the Organization of Legislative (representative) and executive bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation" were approved by the Upper Chamber of the Federal Assembly in December last year.
In accordance with them, the head of the region’s executive branch should not be elected by popular vote, but by the Legislative Assembly on the proposal of the president of the country.
