Australian resident was charged with the murder of four children

A resident of the Australian city of Dzhong (Victoria) appeared in court on charges of killing her four children. 25-year-old Carol Louise Matthew sat all the time of the hearing, not showing emotions and bowing her head low, notes The Sydney Morning Held .

The investigation began after the police in May of last year became interested in cases of the strange death of four children Matthew aged 9 weeks to three years that occurred between December 1998 and April 2003.

The lawyer of the woman Andrew McKinner told the court that his client suffered from depression, and asked Matthew to put her in a single camera.

The seven-month son Matthew was discovered dead in his bed in December 1998, and the 9-week daughter also died in bed in November 2000. The investigation then decided that both children died of sudden infant mortality syndrome.

However, the death of children Matthew continued: for an incomprehensible reason, a three -month -old son died in a parking lot in July 2002, his death was later explained by a rare infection.

The fourth death occurred a day after the three -year -old daughter Matthew fell from the table in April 2003. The hearings will continue on May 19.
