The European Union of Football Associations (UEFA) intends to apply sanctions to the chief coach of the English "Chelsea" Jose Mourinho. This was announced on Thursday by the representative of UEFA William Gaillard.
According to him, UEFA, most likely, will punish the Portuguese for ignoring the press conference, to which, according to the rules of the event, the head coach was obliged to come.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to Reuters, on the eve of the Champions League match against Barcelona, in which the Aristocrats lost with a score of 1: 2, Mourinho not only refused to come to the post-match press conference, but also forbade his players to communicate with the press.
The indignation of the Portuguese specialist was caused by the fact that during the break of the meeting, the head coach of Barca Frank Raikaard talked about something with the referee Anders Frisky. It was this that was the reason for the intention of Chelsea to file a complaint to UEFA.
“We are very puzzled by the behavior of Chelsea representatives,” Gaillard noted. “At the moment, no one has contacted UEFA from the English team. In general, the situation around this match was absolutely normal. Perhaps there were more people in the area than usual, but nothing criminal was noticed.”
