The city meeting "Beloved City", created to support candidates in the elections who suit the city authorities, held an off-site meeting in the House of Scientists of Akademgorodok. According to the correspondent of TAIGA.info, the representatives of the meeting met with representatives of the Gorodok community and talked about opposition to the deputy of the Regional Council Sergey Kibirev, who is running for the city council from Akademgorodok in district No. 35.
During the discussion, it became clear that the public of Akademgorodok is set up exclusively anti-Kibirevsky. "We must elect constructive people. Otherwise, we will all quarrel and people will suffer," said one of the speakers.
Scientists also raised objections against some other candidates. Okhotnikov, according to them, has not been working in science for a long time and does not conduct social work in the region. Director General of CJSC "RISS-Telecom" Lev Bukhgeim was branded as a representative of usurious capital. Therefore, the directors of the institutes spoke in favor of Viktor Agafonov, chairman of the district organ of public amateur performance "Our Town", who "did more than a hundred significant deeds in the district", and is also not scandalous, unlike Kibirev.
Anatoly Lubkov, a member of the Soviet district committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, said that his party would prefer to see a scientist as a deputy from Akademgorodok, and complained to the presidium of the SB RAS that they did not nominate such a prominent scientist. Lubkov also took the usual position for the Communists, declaring that Agafonov, Bukhgeim, and Okhotnikov did not go far from Kibirev, they were representatives of the same class. Lubkov also hinted that there is a candidate in Akademgorodok representing the interests of the poor (Eliseev), but he also has low moral and ethical qualities and cannot be supported by the Communist Party.
The former governor of the Indinok region, in his usual manner, showed tactlessness, explaining to the communist that "the deputy will be elected without your opinion."
The directors of the institutes lamented that they did not nominate their own candidate, but decided to support Agafonov, so that in the event of his victory (and he is the favorite of the elections), they would have influence on him.
The participants of the meeting also speculated on the topic of who is voting for Kibirev, agreed that they vote for him because he is "promoted". During the discussion, poll data also appeared, according to which Agafonov wins in constituency No. 3, while Kibirev's rating falls. They also talked about some criminal cases initiated against Kibirev at the time when he worked in one of the institutes of Akademgorodok.
