On Wednesday, two committees can be reorganized at the State Duma at the plenary meeting. According to the results of the meeting of the Presidium of the United Russia faction, the chairman of the State Duma committee on the regulations, Oleg Kovalev, reported to reporters, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the deputy, it is planned to organizationally issue changes in the committees on physical education and sports, as well as for women, family and youth. Kovalev confirmed earlier reports that the authority in the field of youth policy is planned to be transferred to the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports. As a result of the reorganization, the Duma Committee on Physical Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, as well as the Committee on Women, Family and Children, will be formed.
In the faction, Kovalev said, it is assumed that Ekaterina Lapova will lead the Committee on Women's Affairs, and the Committee on Physical Education, Sports and Youth Affairs will be headed by Vladislav Tretyak. According to Kovalev, the Tretyak "was a lot of youth policy during the Komsomol." The Chairman of the Committee on Regulations did not exclude that the subcommittee on youth policy, the leader of the Youth Unity organization, can head the subcommittee of youth policy as part of the newly formed committee.
Kovalev also spoke about the procedure for changing the composition of the committees. The existing committees, he said, will be liquidated, and immediately after that new will be organized. Parliamentarians will have to decide and write applications for entering a particular committee.
