8 suspects of the murder of 9-year-old Tajiki in St. Petersburg is charged

The prosecutor's office of St. Petersburg charged eight defendants in the case of the murder of a 9-year-old Tajik girl , perfect in February last year.

According to ITAR-TASS in the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, the Office for the investigation of especially important cases of the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office is completing a criminal case of a murder on February 9, 2004 9-year-old Khurshed Sultanova.

The investigation established eight people who participated in the attack on the Sultanov family, including the criminal who directly committed the murder of the girl, the prosecutor's office said.

All eight attackers are residents of St. Petersburg, at the time of the attack they were from 14 to 21 years old. To date, all of them have been against all of them.

The seven are incriminated by hooliganism. Another suspect is accused under part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of killing a person in a helpless state, based on national hatred, as well as in hooliganism and two episodes of robbery under article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Four accused are in custody, including a 14-year-old teenager accused of murder. The prosecutor’s office noted that only in his actions was the motive of national hatred was established.

According to the prosecutor's office, the participants in the attack on the Sultanov family "did not represent an organized group, some of them were not familiar with each other before the crime."

In the near future, the familiarization of the victims and accused with the materials of the criminal case, which is more than 30 volumes, after which it will be sent to the court begins.

The 9-year-old Tajik girl was brutally killed in Boytsov Lane in the center of St. Petersburg on February 9 last year. She was inflicted 11 stab wounds, from which the child died on the spot.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, "in the criminal case, initiated by the murder on October 13, 2004, the Vietnamese student Wu Ani Tuan, all 14 participants in the attacks are currently established. All of them were charged. Nine of them are in custody."

The prosecutor's office noted that "all the defendants are residents of St. Petersburg aged 14 to 18 years." The investigation believes that the crime was committed based on national hatred.

During the investigation, it was also found that the participants in the murder of the Vietnamese had previously committed other serious crimes in St. Petersburg against foreigners and Russian citizens.
