The Governor of the Altai Territory Mikhail Evdokimov does not intend to resign. He stated this on Saturday at a press conference in Moscow. Last Thursday, the Altai parliamentarians expressed distrust to the governor of the region with an absolute majority of votes, and now, according to the law, the President of Russia should decide his fate, RIA Novosti reports.
Evdokimov said that he was summoned on Monday to the presidential administration for consultation, and on April 5, exactly a year after his election to the post of governor, "he will unequivocally write a statement on the trust of the head of state."
The former pop artist, who became the governor, claims that in this post "he worked, really, good." “The whole problem is that there are no problems,” Evdokimov emphasized. He believes that behind the Votum about distrust is the environment of the former Altai governor Alexander Surikov.
Speaking about his relations with the regional parliament, Evdokimov said: "We did not succeed in any friendship, although I am a peaceful person, I can be friends, but I do not forgive betrayal." Speaking about the current situation in the region, he brought the saying - "the dog barks, and the caravan is coming."
“If all the deputies are gathering together, then they did not do as much as I did in a year,” continued Evdokimov. “The Lord is a judge for them,” he exclaimed. The governor is sure that "if the mind wins, I win, if the money is won, I lose."
Mikhail Evdokimov came to the press conference by his colleagues in the former workshop: actors Valery Zolotukhin, Alexander Mikhailov, Alexander Pankratov-Chernoye, Bard Oleg Mityaev, sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov.
“Artists cannot be politicians- who said this?” Exclaimed, speaking at a press conference, a fellow countryman Evdokimov, People's Artist of Russia Valery Zolotukhin. “Why is the attitude to artists as to jester?” He asked a rhetorical question.
Zolotukhin urged "not to confuse the Mask" man "with his person selected by Evdokimov on the stage. He urged the Kremlin to "support our governor in this dispute."
Another native of Altai, a well-known actor and director Alexander Pankratov-Chernoye, who was in the election by the proxy of Evdokimov, also emotionally supported his comrade. “Let the person look around - because the region has just begun to breathe,” he exclaimed. “Now a little hope has appeared in the region, but the edge is deprived of it,” said Pankratov -Black. “Envy defeated - how, the artist became the governor,” he concluded.
