Kremlin alarmist

The presidential team is bad with ideas. “If we fail to consolidate the elites, Russia may disappear as a single state,” Dmitry Medvedev, head of the Kremlin administration, said in an interview with Expert. The Kremlin justified both the war in Chechnya and the introduction of unanimity in parliament by the struggle to preserve the integrity of the country. And now the Kremlin assures that consolidation “is possible only on one platform – the preservation of effective statehood within existing borders.”
