However, no one can exclude that Moscow may also become its goal, where the leaders of dozens of states will gather at the celebrations dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Victory. Basayev’s ability to apply “festive” strikes confirm the events of past years, the newspaper GZT.ru reports.

Recall that last year it was on May 9 that President of Chechnya Ahmad Kadyrov was blown up at the stadium in Grozny. And two years earlier on this day, as a result of the explosion in the Dagestan city of Kaspiysk, 43 people - participants and spectators of the festive parade were killed, more than 100 people were injured. The fact that the militants plan this year during the celebration of the anniversary of Victory this year, says the fact of the discovery of several large warehouses in Chechnya with weapons and explosives prepared for conducting terrorist attacks.

Confirmation of the intentions of the militants to conduct terrorist attacks dedicated by May 9, the security forces began to receive in the last days when several extremists were detained during the series of operations that were part of the detachments of Basayev, Doku Umarov and some other, less well -known field commanders.

The prisoners testified, on the basis of which it was possible to detect several caches with weapons and explosives. Their contents attracted the attention of experts: the fact is that in addition to the usual machine guns and pistols in the caches, there were homemade explosive devices of high power, large stocks of TNT and home -made installation for firing uncontrolled missile shells (Nurs).

Typically, Nurses are used to defeat targets from aircraft or helicopters, but this time the militants managed to build a manual launcher from them that looked like a grenade launcher. The special services concluded that extremists were going to use these arsenals in Chechnya in the very near future, most likely on Victory Day.

The preparation of terrorist attacks dedicated by May 9 is Shamil Basayev. This was announced by the newspaper by a representative of the regional operational headquarters for managing a counter -terrorism operation in the North Caucasus (Rosh) General Ilya Shabalkin. He especially noted that Victory Day is now essentially the largest holiday in the republic. On this day, large -scale events are always held in Chechnya with the presence of the first persons of the republic and the command of the federal forces.

According to the already emerging sad tradition, the militants try not to leave this crowded holiday without their "participation". As noted in Rosh, all the last years on May 9 in Chechnya was overshadowed by bandits.

Moreover, the bandits consider the demonstration of power precisely in the "Johara" - this is how the separatists call the capital of Chechnya Grozny, in memory of the first President of Ichkeria Dudaev. It is not difficult to assume that the basis of the goal of terrorists can be the restored Grozny Dynamo Stadium, where the main solemn events are dedicated to Victory Day.

In 2003, a few minutes before the arrival of high guests, a powerful explosive device worked near the entrance to the stadium. Then several people were injured. In 2004, safety measures at Dynamo were strengthened. However, this did not help: right under the VIP -plants, a pre -laid landmine worked - the explosion cost the life of the President of Chechnya Akhmad Kadyrov, the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Hussein Isaev and several other officials. It is possible that this year the militants will want to spoil not only the Victory holiday in Chechnya, but at the same time mourning events in memory of Akhmad Kadyrov.

Do not forget about another motive that can encourage Basayev to especially active actions. Last weeks have been marked by a whole series of high -profile successes of the federal troops, special services and Chechen law enforcement agencies. On March 8, the “President of Ichkeria” Aslan Maskhadov was liquidated, then the closest associates of Basayev, Rizwan Chitigov and Alvi Tasuev, were destroyed. Basayev has not yet responded to the death of his associates, although immediately after the death of Maskhadov he said that "now his hands are untied."

Representatives of the special services are confident that in the coming days the next detention of militants will follow and new hiding places will be found: as May 9, Basayev will definitely try to flood the settlements chosen by him for sabotage with his fighters and weapons. In this regard, security officials promise to take traditional measures to "strengthen the security regime." However, how effective they will seem, it seems that even they themselves cannot.
