In Moscow, an exhibition of one of the most talented Russian photo artists of the young generation Evgeny Shaman opens. Its best works can be seen from April 10 to 30 in the Gallery "Kentavar".

Evgeny Shaman prefers a black and white photo. Some of his works may seem gloomy, but this is a deceptive impression. All the works of the shaman are somewhere on the subtle line between the dark and bright, frank and modest, gentle and cruel. At the same time, the author never crosses this line.

This is not the first exhibition of Eugene in Moscow. Over the past few years, his work has been exhibited more than once in the capital, for many of which the author received awards. In 2004, the shaman became the laureate of the exhibition "Workshop 20.04".

“I was lucky that I began my creative implementation in the photograph not from the viewfinder, but from the lens - as a model (although I am the word“ actor ”). Before buying my first camera, I took pictures from different photographers for a year, drawing my conclusions about the ability to put or transfer emotions into a photograph,” says the Shaman in an interview with the German journal Art -Photo -Akt .

Despite the popularity growing every day, the shaman categorically refuses to work to order.

"I do not work on order, but I only sell ready -made work (and not all) ... But the main direction in which I work is Art Nude, the merger of naked people with everything that is in this nature and with everything that our imagination can give out," says Shaman.

The work of the shaman is never unequivocal. The viewer can always find something his own in his photographs. The author always leaves his viewer a place for fantasy. At the same time, the Shaman did not specifically learn photographs, although he attended master classes of such great photographers as, for example, Helmut Newton.

"I am a self -taught. Everything came in the process of work. And as my observations showed, mostly, many outstanding photo artists did not finish any photos," says Shaman.

In his works, the shaman focuses primarily on his own sensations, but he also has his own ideal. True, this is not a photographer, but director Andrei Tarkovsky.

“My works, perhaps, have a kind of pleasant similarity, for example, with the world of“ Stalker ”by Tarkovsky: a gloomy unenticted world in which everything changes and moves. This world has the essence, mechanism, but at the same time it is deeply mysterious. In it, if you sincerely believe in something, this is“ something ”comes true .. of course, Tarkovsky is a master of his direction. Sadness and pain is much harder to create and capture than joy and laughter, ”says Evgeny Shaman.

"For me, human understanding is important, my environment - since we are all complementing each other, acquaintances, friends, colleagues in the creative platform, we all complement each other and without each other without communication and understanding nothing would have done deep," said Newsru.com Evgeny Shaman.
