Having survived the giant invasion of sharks, the inhabitants of Florida can again visit the beaches in the south of the state. According to local authorities, the danger to vacationers passed.
Red flags disappeared from the coast, meaning a categorical ban on entering the water. Warning about the danger several times appeared on Florida beaches in recent weeks.
At the beginning of this week, the water of the Atlantic north of the city of Palm Beach literally teemed with thousands of predatory fish, which swam close to the shore. This phenomenon is associated with the spring migration of sharks in the northern, cooler waters, where there is more food.
“The spectacle is impressive,” said the director of the Florida Center for the Study of Shark Bob Huther, “however, this does not mean that something unusual is happening in the environment.” In the spring, almost all those whose life is connected to the sea rush to the north - from birds to whales, ITAR -TASS reports.
Off the coast of Florida, a massive “picnic” arranged sharks of two varieties that do not have a reputation for cannibals. Nevertheless, biologists emphasize, they are able to "seriously bite" a person. During the current "shark invasion" such incidents were not noted.
Now, having fed, the kakuli flocks went on. Their new cluster at the beaches of Florida is possible in the fall, during migration to the south.
