Yesterday, the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Vadim Bulavinov, put an end to the “age of coal” in fifteen minutes, that is, he closed the last city coal boiler house and opened a gas boiler house instead. The workers of the old boiler room and their superiors, who were waiting for the mayor, complained about the dirty area around the boiler room and argued that Vadim Bulavinov would dirty his shoes and would definitely force them to clean up. At the same time, they laughed at the mayor, who will have to close the idle coal boiler house and launch a new one that is already functioning. “We’ll pause it so that Vadim Evgenievich presses the button,” the Teploenergo workers smiled. After leaving the car, the mayor immediately complained about the dirt around and in an orderly tone ordered to clean it up. Having expressed a desire to inspect the old boiler room, Vadim Bulavinov entered a dark, smoky room and found a stoker there, whom he asked if a worker had died here a couple of years ago, buried under a ton of coal. The stoker, whom his superiors had recommended as “operational personnel,” nodded. “What squalor!” — the mayor was indignant. Having got out of the dark room, he headed to the new gas boiler room, which had German equipment from BUDERUS and automatic control. “And not a single stoker!” — the head of the city admired. There, Vadim Bulavinov was shown the button with which he ended the “age of coal,” blinking at the unexpected noise.
