The State Kremlin Palace will perform the legendary Michelle Legrand

On May 30, the State Kremlin Palace will be a concert of Michel Legrand. The famous French composer and conductor wrote music to more than 200 films, several musicals, recorded more than 100 albums.

At the age of 20, Legrand created his own orchestra and began to compose the first songs and write music for the ballet troupe of Roland Petit. At 23, he released his first album "I love Paris", which became a bestseller among instrumental music albums.

In the early 50s of the twentieth century, Legrand carried out joint projects with famous American jazzmen, such as Dizzy Gillespi, Miles Davis, John Coltrene, Stan Getz and Bill Evans.

World Glory came to Michel Legrand in the mid-60s, when he wrote music to the two films of Jacques Demi: “Sherbourg Umbrellas” and “Girls from Rochepher”.

The works of Legrand three times awarded the Oscar, five times - Grammy. Legrand worked with Frank Sinatra, Maurice Shevalier, Edith Piaf, Barbro Streisand.

In Moscow, Legrand will perform with his son - singer Benjamin Legrand, RIA Oreanda reports. Famous French performers will also take part in the concert: Alain Brunet, Herve Meschinet, Alain Asplanato, Philippe Chayeb. As part of the program, world hits will be performed, including music for the Cinema "Sherbourg Umbrellas".
