Even before the exhibition, the picture was bought by the American businessman Philanthropist Charles Schumann, and she hung for a long time in his jewelry store on Broadway, and then, until the end of the 80s of the XX century, adorned the interior of a private sports club in the city of Miluoi. Sotheby's experts evaluated the Paris court in the amount of 750 thousand to 1.1 million dollars.

The "figurine of the boyar" of the work of Faberge from precious and semiprecious stones, gold and silver, bought in 1910 by Tsar Nicholas II in the famous jewelry company for 950 rubles, was sold on Thursday for 1 million 808 thousand dollars.

For the same amount, a rare gilded silver tea-coffeery service was acquired in the mid-19th century, belonging to the Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich.

1 million 584 thousand dollars was laid out by an anonymous buyer for the picture of Boris Grigoryev "sailors in the cafe." For 688 thousand dollars, a portrait of the ballerina Vera Fokina Zinaida Serebryakova and the painting by Nikolai Roerich "Leading behind him" left the hammer, RIA Novosti reports. All prices include 15% of the commission auction house.

At the first auction of Russian art, which Sotheby's spent in New York last year, 131 lots were put up, and sales were a little higher than $ 8 million. Then the sensation was the price of the purchase of a “still life with a chair” by Vladimir Baranov -Rossin - $ 1.884 million. Now 362 lots are put up for auction, and only in the chord of the first session the amount of sales amounted to 29 million 977 thousand dollars.
