The Russian national hockey team for the first time in its history becomes the winner of the Europeanchockeyur. In the final series, the team of Vladimir Krikunov was stronger than the Swedish team.

The first final meeting of these rivals took place in Stockholm on April 22 and ended with the victory of Russians with a score of 2: 1, and therefore it was appropriate to talk about a certain advantage of our team before the return fight.

However, as often happens, it did not all start smoothly: already in the sixth minute of the first period, Krunvall was able to finish the puck into the goal of Maxim Sokolov. This beginning did not cause panic in the camp of the Russian team, and at the 13th minute Alexei Kovalev irresibly threw the gates of the Swedes into the upper corner of the gate.

But the draw did not last long: after a minute, Franzen again brought the guests forward - 2: 1. Truth for a break, hockey players left nevertheless with a no -result result thanks to the work of Viktor Kozlov (17 minutes).

In the second segment, our team already had a tangible game advantage. The Swedish defenders did not always manage our attackers, and therefore it is not at a reason that Ilya Kovalchuk (27) and Alexander Ovechkin (33) were able to lightly light the red light behind the gates of the opponents - 4: 2.

In the final time interval, the task of the Russian team was noticeably facilitated by Alexander Semin. The striker in the second minute of the period abandoned the fifth puck, and after that almost everything became clear.
