The DPRK threatens to destroy any enemy with one nuclear blow

The DPRK promised to strengthen its forces of nuclear deterrence and stated that her army was able to destroy any enemy with one blow. This was announced today in Pyongyan by the chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, Vice-Marshal Kim Eun Chun, speaking at a national meeting on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the creation of the Armed Forces.

Having stated on February 10 the possession of nuclear weapons, the DPRK recently stopped its only nuclear reactor in the Yonben research center.

This step can be regarded as preparations for the subsequent extraction of plutonium from the worked out uranium rods, which is used in nuclear ammunition. However, the military capabilities of Pyongyang in the nuclear sphere need scientific evidence, and so far, as you know, there have been no tests of atomic weapons in the north, the Renhap agency reports today.

According to the estimates of the American CIA, atomic bombs could make one or two in the DPRK and have enough plutonium for at least eight nuclear ammunition, ITAR-TASS reports.
