
The reason for the shootout in the restaurant in the center of Moscow could be the trial of criminal structures, Interfax reports with reference to a source in the capital's law enforcement agencies.
According to preliminary data, three killed and wounded visitors of the Yellow Submarin restaurant are visitors. One died from the wounds in place, two later died in the hospital. According to preliminary data, the leaders of one of the Caucasian criminal groups who specialize in thefts. Two of the dead immigrants from the Caucasus - one Russian.
It was established that the victims responded fire to the attackers. At the scene of the incident, several Agran-2000 machine guns and Makarov’s pistol were discovered, which, apparently, belonged to one of the defenders.
On the basis of this, law enforcement agencies suggested that the participants in the shootout are most likely associated with criminal structures.
The prosecutor's office of the Central District of Moscow opened a criminal case on the fact of the shooting of three men in a restaurant in the center of Moscow. The case is initiated and investigated under Article 105 of Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons).
As previously reported, around 22:00 on Monday, three unknown people, presumably immigrants from the Caucasus, entered the premises of the Yellow Submarin restaurant, located in house 16 on the 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya street, and opened their automatic weapons to visitors, after which they disappeared. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, three were injured.
Currently, the restaurant has an operational investigation team. For the speedy detention of the attackers in the Central Administrative District of Moscow, a set of special events is being held, the agency’s interlocutor added.
