Mikhail Gorbachev, President of the Soviet Union, suggests dismissing the government and dissolving the State Duma.
"The current Cabinet of Ministers and deputies are not able to solve the problems set by President Vladimir Putin," Mikhail Gorbachev said in an interview with Interfax. He explained that the government has not coped with last year’s tasks when the Russian leader declared the fight against poverty.
“Not only was there nothing,” said the President of the USSR, “in return we received a monetization, which stirred not only the old people - the whole country.”
According to him, "the approach of the government, its ideology remains radical liberal." "There, in a government cuisine, such a brew is cooked, which can generally set in motion the whole country and exacerbate the situation to the limit," Gorbachev believes.
Gorbachev pointed out that in the plans of the cabinet - half -paid education, paid medicine and reform of the housing and communal services.
"Our education should already become half -paid, which generally contradicts the constitution, our medicine also becomes paid," Gorbachev believes. “Well, of course, the proposed reform of the housing and communal services. If all this is calculated, how many people want to take from people for various services, then the salary should be increased by at least five times so that people can withstand this,” said the first president of the USSR.
“Thus,” the politician summed up, “the state of the mechanisms that should implement the President of Putin, such that there are great doubts - whether it will be done. Therefore, the question is so that we need new parliamentary elections and the new government,” said Mikhail Gorbachev. In his opinion, President Putin must make such an offer.
“Society will support the president in this,” Gorbachev is convinced.
"United Russia" does not exclude personnel changes in the government
One of the leaders of the United Russia party, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy, Andrei Isaev considers it inappropriate to conduct early parliamentary elections, but does not exclude resignation in the Government of the Russian Federation.
"The current government cannot cope with its duties. Its activities are called insufficient and unsystematic management. But the issues related to the resignations are in the exceptional competence of the president, and it is he who can decide which of the ministers should leave his post," Isaev said at the press conference in Interfax.
At the same time, he spoke out against early elections to the State Duma, to which the ex-president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev called. “Just throw 2.5 billion rubles for new elections just because I consider Mikhail Sergeyevich to be wrong. Moreover, the Social Democratic Party, which he leads, is not listed among parties that can overcome the 7% barrier,” Isaev said.
Speaking about the possible resignation of the government, Isaev recalled that "for this there is a certain procedure prescribed in the Constitution, it is necessary that the vote of no confidence in the government be issued."
"The current defects of the government, in our opinion, are associated with ministers -technocrats. These are managers who solve these or another narrow problems well," said one of the leaders of United Russia.
In this regard, he called on the government to listen to the position of the party in power and proceed from the platform of this party. “In this case, the government will make more responsible decisions,” Isaev emphasized.
