
The Russia-European Summit will be held on May 10 in the Great Kremlin Palace in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday by the manager of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kozhin at a press conference at Interfax.
"The Russia-European Summit will open at 12:00 in the Great Kremlin Palace. At 15:30, a press conference of the President of the Russian Federation and the leaders of the European Union will be held," Kozin said.
Recall that on April 21, the meeting of Vladimir Putin with the chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroza took place , at which the parties discussed the prospects for the development of Russia and the EU after 2007, when the period of partnership and cooperation between Russia and the European Union and other pressing issues expire.
The special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for relations with the EU Sergey Yastrzhembsky informed reporters that at the meeting of Putin with Barroso, "managed to take a noticeable step forward in bringing the positions of the parties on some of the most difficult issues of the relations of the Russian Federation - the EU" and expressed the hope that "this work will end by May 10."
The previous Russia-ES summit took place on November 25, 2004 in the Hague .
