As a result of the flood in the Stavropol Territory, more than 2,000 people were affected, RIA Novosti reports. "As of the morning of May 6, as a result of the emergency caused by floods in the previous two days, 12 settlements in 4 districts of the region were affected," said a spokesman for the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Stavropol Territory.
According to him, the villages of Zarechny and Achikulaak were flooded in the Neftekumsky district, the villages of Levokumsky, Leninsky, Pobegailovsky and the village of Kangaly were flooded in the Mineralny district, the village of Suvorovskaya was in the Predgorny district, and the villages of Kursavka and Soluno-Dmitrievskoye were flooded in the Andropovsky district.
In total, more than 2 thousand people were affected, 133 people were evacuated from the flood zones - 111 residents of the village of Soluno-Dmitrievskoye and 22 residents of the village of Levokumka. There are 69 pieces of equipment on site.
