| The man arrested on suspicion of committing terrorist attacks was charged Maxim Panaryin, who was detained in Voronezh in the case of explosions at the Moscow metro stations Avtozavodskaya and Rizhskaya, as well as at bus stops in Voronezh, was officially charged with terrorism and premeditated murder. He, as well as two others arrested on May 8 in Moscow - former employee of the Ministry of Justice Murat Shavaev and a certain Khubiev - in addition to explosions in the capital and Voronezh, are charged with organizing and executing explosions on an electric train in Mineralnye Vody, at a market in Samara and at bus stops in Krasnodar.
Apart from the indictment, there was no further information available about the progress of the investigation as of yesterday. So far, according to various sources in law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies, the following is known about this case. Panaryin was detained on May 8 in Voronezh, and two days later, on May 10, the court approved his arrest. Detained on suspicion of organizing numerous terrorist attacks, he began to actively cooperate with the investigation and immediately showed a cache in the forest belt of Voronezh, where he hid three passports with different names, hexogen, electric detonators, 200 g of plastic, six Casio watches (modified for use in the IED mechanism), electrical circuits, ready-to-use VCA, sets of wires, radio components, electronic boards, template for manufacturing the VCA shell.
It is not yet possible to say that Maxim Panaryin is the real name of the accused, since he has several passports with different data. There were even suggestions that Panaryin and the wanted Pavel Kosolapov were one and the same person. This is evidenced by the external and biographical data of the detainee. Both ended up in Chechnya in 1999, where they converted to Islam and underwent combat training in the camps of Arab field commanders. In 2003, on the instructions of Shamil Basayev, they arrived in Voronezh using false documents and settled in a rented apartment.
According to the investigation, Panaryin said that all his actions were supervised by a certain Gloov from the Karachay jamaat, headed by Achiyaz Gochiyaev (the latter is wanted on charges of bombing houses in Moscow and Volgodonsk). The arrested man admitted to committing three explosions at traffic stops in Voronezh in 2004. He completely denies involvement in the fourth explosion in January of this year. In total, his group planned to use 15 IEDs in Voronezh alone. At the same time, the next explosion was planned for May 9. During the preliminary investigation, the accused admitted to preparing and carrying out explosions near the Avtozavodskaya and Rizhskaya metro stations in Moscow, participating in a raid in Dagestan as part of Khattab’s gang, and shooting the Perm riot police and Pskov paratroopers.
