Last year, FIFA adopted a new anti -doping code. According to these rules, an athlete convicted of doping is disqualified for two years. While according to the rules of the FIFA, the football player for doping is excommunicated for only six months, and representatives of the anti -doping agency consider this unacceptable.

Vada stated that FIFA has repeatedly reminded that it is necessary to make changes to his anti -doping rules. Now the football federation has been appointed the deadline to do this. In September, the WADA Congress will be held in Morocco and by that time all changes to the FIFA rules should be made.

"Vada is forced to inform partners, including the International Olympic Committee that FIFA does not comply with the official Code, with all the consequences that arise from this," said the head of Vada Richard Pound.
