MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
“Dust” (Russia, 2005). Directed by Sergei Loban. The film features Alexey Podolsky, Pyotr Mamonov, rappers White Hot Ice and Rustaveli, the group “Pakava It”, Larisa Pyatnitskaya, Psoy Korolenko, Dmitry Pimenov. The film was created by a group of young independent filmmakers from the experimental creative association “SVOI-2000”. EXHIBITIONS
Dmitry Lion. "The White Universe" An exhibition of works by one of the most interesting and mysterious Russian graphic artists of the second half of the twentieth century. About a hundred graphic sheets made from 1955 to 1991 are on display, from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and private collections. The exhibition presents the main series that have passed through the entire work of Dmitry Lion: “The Fates of Russian Poets”, “The Three Lives of Rembrandt”, “Bless the Walking”, “The Visible in the Invisible”, “The Holocaust”, “The Biblical Cycle”, as well as illustrations for G . Melville, Sholom Aleichem. Many works are being exhibited for the first time. Tretyakov Gallery , until August 14.
"The Peasant World in Russian Art." The exhibition features about 300 works on peasant subjects or related to the life of peasants: icons, paintings, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied arts. Among the exhibits are works by A. Venetsianov, V. Tropinin, A. Arkhipov, I. Repin, I. Kramskoy, F. Vasiliev, A. Kuindzhi, G. Myasoedov, as well as Russian avant-garde masters N. Goncharova, K. Malevich and P. Filonova. All works are from the collection of the Russian Museum. Historical Museum , until August 15.
"Roman Architects of the 20th Century". At the exhibition as part of the Italian season in Russia, there is an exposition dedicated to the work of the Labyrinto studio - architects Paola D'Ercole, Giuseppe Marinelli, Paolo Martellotti, Pia Pascalino and Antonio Pernici, or, as they are also called, “paper money” architects. As a result of creativity in the laboratory atmosphere of voluntary seclusion, the Labyrinto group created dozens and hundreds of projects that reflect the theoretical thought and stylistic searches of the 60s and 70s. As a result, entire suites appeared, connected by a cross-cutting theme and outlining ways to solve the problems seen within the group. The exhibition presents original graphics and layouts, a fragment of the author’s installation “Valley of Temples”, photographs of projects, layouts, bibliography and biographical materials.
