Also in our group are Germany and Estonia, and in group 2 the teams of the Czech Republic, Spain, Slovakia and Turkey compete.

Gayich's team is the leader in their group 1, but our team, regardless of the outcome of the preliminary stage matches, has a guaranteed right to compete in the Final Four. The World Beach Volleyball Championship for men is being held for the eighth time, and the women's tournament in the German capital has the seventh serial number. The stadium will be built in the center of Berlin, which is not unusual for residents of the German capital - the stages of the World Series were held at the Brandenburg Gate.
Since 1997, awards at these competitions have been awarded regularly, every two seasons. In 2003, at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), the Americans Misty May and Keri Walsh and the Brazilians Ricardo Santos and Emanuel Rego took the top step of the podium.
On the first day of the tournament, only women's teams will compete, and from Wednesday, men's pairs will also join the fight. A total of 48 teams are participating. The final match for the fair sex is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, and the winner in the men's competition will be determined on Sunday. Our hopes are tied to the performance of the pair Roman Arkaev - Dmitry Barsuk, who performed well at the World Series stages in Zagreb (Croatia) and Gstaad (Switzerland). By the way, at the last championship the Russians qualified in 17th place. Natalya Uryadova and Alexandra Shiryaeva, who performed excellently at the stage in Milan (Italy), unfortunately, do not yet have a sufficient number of rating points (based on the results over the last 52 weeks) and were not included in the number of participants in the World Championship.

Throughout the year, the champion rides in various races held under the auspices of the USI in the jersey of his country, and not in the uniform of the professional cycling group for which he competes. Therefore, it is easy to identify the winners of gold medals at national championships in the peloton. Last season, the group race in Samara was won by Alexander Kolobnev, who now defends the colors of the Dutch team Rabobank.
