The youngest student in China was 10-year-old Zhang Xinyang from Liaoning Province, who successfully passed the entrance exams to Tianjin Engineering and Pedagogical University.

According to the results of the unified national examination for higher educational institutions, the talented boy managed to score 505 points, which is 47 more than the minimum passing level. Little Zhang received the coveted notification of enrollment almost a month after summing up the exam results. In September he will begin studying at the Faculty of Information Technology, specializing in applied mathematics.

Previously, 12-year-old Feng Hao from Hunan Province was considered the Chinese record holder. In 2000, he passed all the examination tests and was enrolled in one of the country's institutes.

But still, the Chinese prodigies are still far from reaching the world record, which belongs to the American Justin Champan, the youngest student of all time. Justin found himself a student at the University of Rochester in New York when he was only six years old. Justin has no particular problems with studying at a higher educational institution.
