The brutal beating of Russian teenagers in Warsaw by a group of bastards is certainly the number one theme in the Russian media. Politicians are worried, the Russian Foreign Ministry is outraged, the president called the incident a crime. Such a reaction is fully consistent with the principles of a civilized state, which protects its citizens, regardless of the place of encroachment on their lives or health.
In the same way, Americans behave, who are ready to take all the necessary measures that are possible in such cases. A hundred years ago, the death of an American citizen in any state of Latin America could well lead to a sending to its shores of the gunboats. The protection of their own citizens is not only the prerogative of the traditional “great powers”-we recall the recent incident in the British metro, when the young Brazilian died at the hands of the law enforcement officers, according to Scotland Yard, who was an illegal immigrant. In the funeral, officials participated in the funeral of the unknown electrician, including the personal representative of the president of the republic. The Brazilian authorities with their tough position achieved that the British apologized to all the approving (and not once!) And agreed to pay significant compensation to the relatives of the deceased.
Any civilized country, however, protects not only its citizens, but all the people who are on its territory, regardless of nationality, citizenship and other factors. But this is far from perfect in Russia itself. Russian guys in Warsaw were faced with the same muck, which has long been poisoning the streets of Russian cities for a long time.
Aggressive fascist (or fascizid) xenophobia is a general problem of the modern world. The incident in Poland is not much different from those who have already become familiar from Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, and Moscow with St. Petersburg about the beating of foreign students. In March alone, four such cases have been recorded in March, and the geography is increasingly expanding: Krasnodar, Kaluga, Lipetsk ... In June-July, only in Voronezh foreigners were beaten three times. The authorities consider attacks on foreign students ordinary hooligan actions. Indeed, it is difficult and troublesome to prove the “national” component, even if the victims themselves declare that the teenagers mocked them shouted “Zig Hale”! ” The criminals (if they manage to catch them) in every possible way deny this and are very successfully trying to reduce the case to ordinary youth showdowns.
Now Russian society is indignant about the crime of Warsaw "skins". But what a sin to hide, the equally outrageous actions of their like -minded people in Russia itself meets a much less emotional reaction. On the contrary, the murder of a Tajik girl, committed by shab heads in St. Petersburg, in some media tried to justify, spreading the rumor that the girl’s father had sold drugs, hit a good kid, whose comrades took revenge, as they knew how. The usual “skin” excuses (very similar to similar statements by representatives of the Union of the Russian people in tsarist Russia - they say that the Jews themselves offended, and after that we had a little threatening them) still walk along the rune as not only an explanation, but even justification of the crime. I can hardly be mistaken if I say that supporters of this version are now righteously indignant about the Warsaw beating.
To beat a student from Rwanda in Voronezh or a resident of the “neighboring abroad” in Moscow as vile as Russian schoolchildren in Warsaw. Only this society understands can be called civilized.
