The world's largest aquarium will appear in Atlanta—a new aqua-house designed for 100,000 inhabitants. In it, marine life will be presented in all its diversity, from small goldfish to huge sharks. The idea came to billionaire Bernard Marcus, co-owner of HomeDepot construction company. An employee of the company Catherine Stone told Newsweek that the main "stars" of the aquarium will be two whale sharks from Taiwan and a pair of marble rays from New Zealand. “Chasing fish is a favorite pastime for many people,” she says. “But it’s quite difficult to see the details of fish and marine animals underwater in the sea or ocean. And our guests will be able to see and carefully examine thousands of ocean inhabitants at the same time.” The aquarium will be called "Georgia", next to it, Bernard Marcus will open the world's largest center for the study of marine fauna. Although the opening is scheduled only for 2007, future residents of the aquarium have already begun to be brought to Atlanta—so far they live in the local zoo.

The ancient Egyptians loved gossip about the pharaohs. Scientists from the Rosicrucian Museum of Egypt in San Jose (California, USA) studied ancient drawings for several years and found out that artists of that time often depicted scenes from the personal lives of their rulers. Now in San Jose opened an exhibition of the ancient "paparazzi". “Gossip is an important part of our lives,” says museum curator Lisa Schwappach. “Therefore, only they will be able to convey to us how people actually lived 2,000 years ago. You could say it's first-hand information." It turned out, for example, that the legendary Queen Hatshepsut was suspected of having love affairs with people of non-royal blood: there are several “frames” in which she is in the company of a court architect. Many exhibits are on public display for the first time.
