
The Moscow Basmanny Court on Thursday issued an acquittal of the writer Bayan Shiryanov (the pseudonym of Kirill Vorobyov), who was accused of spreading pornography. This was announced to the faces of the defendant Alexander Glushenkov. According to him, the court recognized the results of the first examinations of the novel "Middle Pilotage", made on the proposal of the prosecutor's office, unacceptable evidence.
The accusation demanded to put the writer to one year in prison and release a sentence from serving a statute of limitations.
Linguistic examinations conducted at the insistence of protection did not find signs of pornography in the novel.
The representative of the state prosecution asked to resume the judicial investigation to eliminate the contradictions of the examinations and call the experts of the Institute of the Russian Language and the Russian Federal Center for Forensic Expertise under the Ministry of Justice to the court. However, the court did not consider these arguments convincing.
Vorobyov was accused under Article 242 of the Criminal Code, which provides for the punishment for the distribution of pornographic materials. The basis for the trial was the statement of a member of the organization "Estema Smunyantz, who go together to the metropolitan prosecutor's office.
According to him, on July 8, 2002, he acquired Shiryanov’s book “Middle Aviation”, read it and considered this work “Pure pornography”. In this regard, he filed a statement to the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.
