
Trading in the Russian foreign exchange market on the first day of autumn began with the fall of the dollar by 10 kopecks and the “take -off” of the euro above the mark of 35 rubles, which was the result of the dynamics of the world Forex market, where the American currency weakened the positions against the backdrop of the negative consequences of the Hurricane Katrina.
On the foreign market, on Wednesday, there was a positive trend in the European currency to the dollar after data on assessing the US GDP for the second quarter (the Ministry of Trade of the country estimated the growth of GDP at 3.3%, analysts expected 3.4%) and the publication of the Chicago Procurement Index, which fell sharply. As a result, the euro exceeded $ 1.234.
At the MICEX, in turn, when opening trading, the price of transactions on the dollar fell to 28.455 rubles per dollar, which is almost 10 kopecks below the closing level of the session the day before.
In the Euro/ruble sector at the MICEX, a single European currency has risen markedly: on the ETS with the calculations of "Today" the average price of the euro increased by 21.48 kopecks - to 35.1183 rubles per euro.
The official US dollar exchange rate in relation to the ruble announced by the Bank of Russia since September 2 is 28.4637 ruble per dollar, Interfax reports. The official euro exchange rate in relation to the ruble announced by the Bank of Russia since September 2 is 35,1128 rubles per euro.
