In Britain, the squirrel nearly killed the dog who had driven after her.

Labrador named Karl pursued a small rodent through the forest when he suddenly turned and attacked the dog. With her teeth, the squirrel tore the dog’s neck and hung for 30 seconds, digging into the animal, while Labrador, whining in pain, was not able to shake it.

The mistress saved the life of the dog, Alison Campbell, hurrying him to the veterinarian, who put 25 seams to the dog, Mirror reports.

The drama unfolded in nature near the city of Tavistor in the county of Devonshire, where Alison and her 10-year-old daughter Ellie were on a picnic.

“Karl chased after the squirrel, and the next thing we saw was a squirrel that hung around his neck. Karl was distraught. He had this terrible open wound,” says Alison, by the profession of a nurse. “I saw a lot, but it was terrible. I felt bad,” she adds.

A man walking next door to the dog helped to attribute Karl to the car.
