Yulia Tymoshenko expects to head the Ukrainian government after winning the parliamentary elections

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and its party supporters are not going to work in the government, which will be formed, headed by Yuri Ekhanurov.

“I think that this is not the government in which I would like to participate in our political force. I am sure that our main goal is to adequately hold the parliamentary elections and win them, and then form a government that will personify what people expected from us after the revolution,” Tymoshenko said in an interview with the newspaper Kommersant .

The leader of the Blok Yulia Tymoshenko also emphasized that after the parliamentary elections, she is going to head the government again. "I have confidence that we will win the parliamentary elections. I have no doubt about it, to be honest. And then, of course, to head the government," she said.

Tymoshenko also noted that the Party of the Fatherland “Fatherland” she headed on the elections will go independently, without forming blocks with other political movements. “Of course, we will have any blocks with either Yanukovych, nor with the SDPU (O), or with other political forces. We will simply go independent and very self -sufficient power,” she emphasized.

Meanwhile, the ex-Prime Minister noted that she was counting on the support of former Secretary of State of Ukraine Alexander Zinchenko: "We invited Zinchenko to our team. He will be part of the most important governing body of our Blok, our party. And I believe that this is a very worthy person. For us it will be an honor if he is in our ranks."

Tymoshenko also noted that with President Viktor Yushchenko she will go completely different roads, although "she will never work against the president," RIA Novosti reports.

Commenting on the statement of the former secretary of the National Security Service of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko that the government’s resignation was part of Tymoshenko’s political plans, she said: “I have a written agreement with the president that I am going to the parliamentary elections with him, and that I support him in the 2009 presidential election. And this lies with the president - my signature has never betrayed my own hand. I have never betrayed my own hand. I keep partners and all my promises that I gave. ”

In an interview with the newspaper Izvestia, Petro Poroshenko called Tymoshenko’s departure to the opposition “an irresponsible attitude towards the Maidan” and stated that he would work in any position that the president would offer him. “Yushchenko proved that he is a decisive leader who is able to stabilize the situation. Our paths with the president coincide,” he emphasized.

In turn, the new Secretary of State of Ukraine Oleg Rybachuk claims that Yulia Tymoshenko herself decided to resign with the entire government of Ukraine, Interfax reports.

"Yulia Tymoshenko dismissed himself voluntarily. It was not the decision of the president. He wanted to keep this alliance until the last second," Rybachuk said on Tuesday on the air of the Echo of Moscow radio station.

Rybachuk emphasized that "he was a chill participant in negotiations between Tymoshenko and Yushchenko," which lasted three days. As the Secretary of State of Ukraine said, at the end of the third day of negotiations, the parties broke up, reaching a number of agreements, but the next morning, Tomoshenko, Zhushchenko, and "through tears said that she thought and decided that it was better to resign with the whole government than to take the agreements that were reached the night before."

Specifying these agreements, Rybachuk explained that there were conflicting parties in the team of the President of Ukraine and the Government-2-3 people from both sides and an agreement was reached that these antagonists simply leave, and the government with a replacement of 2-3 ministers continues to work in the previous composition. "

At the same time, according to the Secretary of State of Ukraine, in the process of negotiations between President Yushchenko and now the former Prime Minister Tymoshenko, "the formula for political cooperation with quotas was developed, with all the agreements and guarantees for the upcoming parliamentary elections, which gave a clear perspective for the next 5 years."

According to Rybachuk, "when in the morning Tymoshenko called and said that she could not go to what they agreed the night before", Yushchenko "did not have any other option, in addition to accept Tymoshenko’s office."

The Secretary of State of Ukraine believes that Yulia Tymoshenko can lead the opposition. "Julia will collect such politicians, those who were on the Maidan. This is a protest electorate," he said.

At the same time, the Secretary of State noted that he does not see the program that the ex-Prime Minister can choose, and which will be different from the course proclaimed by President Viktor Yushchenko. He noted that he would welcome the appearance of such a player as Yulia Tymoshenko in the political arena, given the fact that there is no strong opposition in the country. At the same time, the Secretary of State recalled that the ex-prime minister Viktor Yanukovych remains in the opposition, who, according to Rybachuk, "was dissolved, he is not visible and not heard."

“I would not write off Yanukovych from the game,” the Secretary of State said at the same time.
