According to the materials of the study, residents of foggy Albion stole goods in the country's stores for 3.58 billion pounds last year ($ 6.29 billion). This amount is 1.59% of the country's retail turnover.

According to the retail center located in Britain, the most popular trophies of store thieves are blades, then alcohol and toilet supplies are followed, Reuters reports.

The second place in the thieves' rating was taken by the inhabitants of Finland, followed by the Portuguese and Greeks. As the review showed, the Swiss turned out to be the most honest and disciplined buyers. Store thefts are only 0.89 percent of the retail turnover of Switzerland.

In general, Europeans for a year stole goods in stores for 30.8 billion euros. The customers of stores were guilty of thefts in 48% of theft cases, the staff was involved in thefts in 29% of cases, 7% were supplied by suppliers of goods. The review covered 423 retail points in 24 countries.
