The Bolshoi Theater will be restored for 19.5 billion rubles

The discussion of the problem of financing the reconstruction of the Bolshoi Theater continues. This time, experts of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences expressed their opinion about the project. The specialists of the Academy approved the project and gave him high, the New Izvestia reports.

The scandal broke out a month after the closure of the theater for reconstruction. In August, when the project and estimate were already approved and the contractor was determined, the Minister of Economic Development, German Gref, unexpectedly stated that the government intends to double the state financing of the Bolshoi reconstruction.

The struggle for the project lasted many months. The Ministry of Economic Development conducted several examinations. As a result, funding was still cut, however, not doubled, but from 25 to 19.5 billion rubles. The Bolshoi Theater has already abandoned the construction of underground parking, and the finishing work of the choral and exposition halls is postponed.

The first examination for the preparation of estimated documentation and the correct calculation of the estimate was carried out by the central research institute of the economy and management in construction. The head organization, which gives in Russia the final consolidated conclusion for any construction project from the point of view of both technical solutions and estimates, has been for almost 20 years of the Glavgosexpertiza for almost 20 years.

Since 1999, to date, the Glavgosexpertiza has given a series of conclusions on the reconstruction project, which has allowed to start work on the reconstruction of the historical building of the theater since July 2.

Examination of the project, recently conducted by specialists of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, the third in the row. This time, academics delved into the reconstruction project, they did not recalculate the estimates. So their positive decision will not affect the reduction or increase in the amount of financing. But the construction of a complex system of supports for the foundation of the building and updating all theatrical mechanics go according to plan. All restoration work will be completed by March 2008.
