India President accused Google of aiding terrorists

India President Abdul Kamom expressed concern about the activities of one of the largest Internet portals Google Inc. He made such a statement at a meeting with representatives of the Indian police leadership. According to the Indian president, free access to the Google Earth program allows potential terrorists to receive satellite photographs of attack objects.

Kalam is particularly alarming that most high -quality pictures contain images of objects on the territory of developing countries, which, according to him, are "already in the danger of possible terrorist attacks." The President of India called on the international community to legally limit the distribution of such materials. At the same time, he noted that the UN recommendations on this issue are already outdated.

Representatives of Google have not yet commented on the statement of Kalam, reports Ar.

The Google Earth, launched in June 2005, allows users to receive satellite photos of various areas of the world. At the same time, important objects located in a number of countries are presented in some pictures with high resolution. In particular, in the section on India, there are pictures of parliament, the presidential palace and other important objects in the country.

Earlier, the governments of the Republic of Korea and Thailand, as well as the Netherlands parliament, expressed concern about the activities of the Google Earth site.
