The first of six trucks with paintings from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after Pushkin, detained more than a week ago in Switzerland, arrived at about 10:30 to the museum building in Moscow.

"The first truck of those that were detained, and then released by the Swiss authorities arrived in Moscow and about half an hour ago drove up to the central entrance of the Pushkin museum," Interfax told a source in power structures on Tuesday.

Recall that it all started with the fact that the Swiss police and customs at the request of the NOGA company arrested a collection of 54 paintings by French artists with an insurance value of more than $ 1 billion from the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.

The exhibition "French painting from the collection of the Pushkin Museum" was held in the gallery of the Pierre Gianadda Foundation of the Swiss city of Martigny (Canton Vale) from June 17 to November 13 this year. On November 14, the exhibition closed in Switzerland in the morning and moved to another country, but trucks with Russian license plates were detained by the police.
