CSKA basketball players won another victory at the preliminary stage of the Euroleague

The basketball players of the Moscow CSKA won the next match at the preliminary stage of the Euroleague. In the seventh round, the wards of the Italian specialist Ettore Messina confidently beat the outsider group C - the partisan team from Serbia and Montenegro - with a score of 89:58 (20:15, 20:12, 33:13, 16:18).

From the first minutes of the match, the Moscow army team operated on their parquet very actively and the team of 30 points managed to achieve by the end of the third period. In the final ten -minute, Messin has traditionally made it possible to play all basketball players, including young people.

The most productive winners were the legionnaires - American David Vanderpul, who scored 17 points and the Greek Theodora Papalukas - 15. Nikolol Pekovich (11) distinguished himself as part of the Partisan.

“We facilitated our game, doing a lot of work at its beginning,” said Ettor Messin after the match. “First of all, it concerns the actions in the defense of Panov, who managed to stop the leader of Partizan, Act of Miloevich, who gains 16 points in the Euroleague, and in Moscow limited himself to six. Despite certain mistakes, the players showed a good game, and some of their actions forced the fans. We have finished the first stage of the Euroleague regular championship with five victories and two defeats.

This victory became the fifth for CSKA at the preliminary stage of the Euroleague after two starting defeats. The army will spend the next match on December 21 against the Italian Club of Montapaska.
