
In the area of the Iraqi city of Baakub, the bodies of 47 people with gunshot wounds were discovered, the AP agency reports on Thursday with reference to the representative of the administration of the province of Diala.
According to preliminary information, three buses with workers of the brick factory were stopped by armed people 20 kilometers south of Baakuba. The workers were taken out of the buses and shot. After that, the attackers set fire to buses, RIA Novosti reports.
The motives of the attackers are still unknown. The exact time of the incident is not reported. According to the Iraq Foreign Ministry, the bodies were found by local residents about noon near the plant.
