Russian Nadezhda Petrova became the winner of the tournament of the second category of the Women's Tennis Association with a prize fund of 600 thousand dollars, which ended in the capital of Qatar - Doha.

In the final match, Petrova Petrova, sown under the second number, beat the first racket of the competition Frenchwoman Amelie Mororemo with a score of 6: 3, 7: 5. At this tournament, the Russian woman performed extremely confidently and did not lose a single set.

This is the second victory of the 23-year-old Petrova over Mororemo and the second title in her professional career. Earlier, rivals met five times, and only in one match Petrova managed to prevail. In the WTA ranking, Mororemo occupies the second line, Petrova - the eighth.

Recall that the previous two years, the main prize of the tournament in Doha also went to the Russian woman - Anastasia Myskina. Last year, she received a victory in the Russian final against her compatriot Svetlana Kuznetsova.
