"Vanguard" did not let Magnitogorsk into the playoff final

On Thursday, the second finalist of the playoffs of the Russian hockey championship among the teams of the Super League was determined.

In the fourth match of the semi -final series, Omsk Vanguard on its ice in overtime defeated the unconditional leader of the regular championship - Magnitogorsk Metallurg. Thus, Omsks closed a series ahead of schedule to three victories with a score of 3-1.

The winning puck 2 minutes 41 seconds before the end of the additional time abandoned the defender Sergei Gusev when realizing the numerical advantage. Artem Chubarov and defender Alexei Troshchinsky also distinguished themselves among the winners. The last Wages of Magnitors in the current championship were abandoned by Stanislav Chistov and Denis Platonov.

In the final, the Vanguard will meet with the Kazan Ak Bars, which also ahead of schedule, but with a dry score of 3-0, beat the Bronze Prizeword-2005 Yaroslavl Lokomotiv and booked a ticket to the decisive stage of the playoffs.

Matches of the final series will be held to three victories: on April 12 and 14 - in Kazan, the 16th and if it takes the 18th - in Omsk, on the 20th - in Kazan.
