At a meeting with members of the government, he reminded the Minister of Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov of his instructions to improve the pension system for military widows. The minister, in turn, promised that in a week the government will complete the development of a law according to which all widows of military personnel will receive two pensions, including for the loss of a breadwinner. “A draft law has been developed providing for the receipt of two state pensions by widows of military personnel who have not remarried,” Mr. Zurabov reported. According to him, “within a week the work will be completed, the document will go to the government, and then to the State Duma.” The head of state demanded to know exactly when the draft law would be submitted to parliament. “To be realistic, after the holidays,” answered Mikhail Zurabov.
