
On board the A-320 of the Spanish Airline "Iberia" on Wednesday evening, a fire occurred. As a result of the incident, the plane landed in emergency conditions in the capital of Ireland Dublin. The emergency occurred on the same day when the same A-320 aircraft fell into the sea near Sochi .
Three independent investigations have begun on the fact of the fire. This was announced by the press secretary of the Dublin airport Vincent Wall. The incident is investigated by Iberia Airlines, the Ministry of Transport of Ireland and the airport authorities. According to Wall, the reasons for the fire in one of the engines of the aircraft discovered during entry for landing are currently being clarified, ITAR-TASS reports.
The press secretary noted the coordinated work of the Irish rescue services, which managed to quickly evacuate all 97 passengers and six crew members from the ship’s side. There are no victims as a result of the fire.
The police department of the Dublin airport refused to comment on the incident.
The fire on the plane caused the short closing of the airport and the evacuation of passengers from the building.
