In Russia, those convicted of minor crimes will be given “limited freedom”: on the one hand, relative freedom, on the other, thanks to a microchip built into the bracelet, law enforcement agencies will be able to monitor the movements of prisoners. The bracelets are planned to be used for convicts serving sentences in settlement colonies and general regime colonies with the right to work outside the territory. Only one wording is confusing: the bracelets are supposed to be worn not only on convicts, but also on those who “pose a threat to society.” And this, excuse me, who will decide?
