Retrofuturistic festival "Space Flight". The festival, as part of the “Great Mute” project, is dedicated to the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space. The program includes legendary silent films with live musical accompaniment. Today they will show the animated film “Interplanetary Revolution” (1924), directed by Z. Komissarenko, artists Y. Merkulov and N. Khodataev, accompanied by the group Silence Kit , as well as the film “Aelita” (1924), directed by Yakov Protazanov, which will be voiced by Alexey Borisov and the Gosplan group. Gregorian. A project by composer, producer and one of the founders of the Enigma group Frank Peterson . A choir of somber, monastic-robed men in the style of a medieval Gregorian chant sings pop hits to ambient electronic music and orchestral accompaniment. The choir comes to Moscow with a new album "Masters Of Chant - Chapter V". Among other things, the choir covers "Angels" by Robbie Williams, "We Love You" by the Rolling Stones, "The Unforgiven" by Metallica, "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd, "Let Down" by Radiohead, and "Heroes" by David Bowie. EXHIBITIONS
"Symbols of Soviet history." The exhibition is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Central Museum of V.I. Lenin. The first section of the exhibition is dedicated to the “symbolic events” of Soviet history. Here are presented monumental paintings by artists V.A. Serova, I.I. Brodsky, L.A. Shmatko, illustrating the meaning of the revolution and the international, as well as folk works of decorative and applied art. In the section “Symbols of “heroic everyday life”” objects depicting state symbols, pioneer badges, awards, etc. are exhibited. In the section “Symbolic Lenin” there are unusual portraits of the leader of the proletariat, demonstrating how his image was mythologized in the cultures of different nations.
