EXHIBITIONS
The Tretyakov Gallery opens its storage rooms. More than a hundred exhibits from the 18th to 20th centuries from the gallery’s collections will be presented at the vernissage opening today in the halls of the New Manege on Georgievsky Lane. The exhibition will include works by both famous and little-known masters of Russian art. A special section of the exhibition includes works of the second half of the 20th century (collection of V.N. Nemukhin), donated to the Tretyakov Gallery by the Moscow government at the request of the collector. These are paintings and graphic works by sixties artists, created from 1959 to 1986.
Peter Halley. Opening of the first personal exhibition in Russia of the famous American artist, considered the founder of the “Neo-Geometric Conceptualism (Neo-Geo)” movement. According to Helly, society forms cells of different scales and is clearly distributed along verticals and horizontals. Highways, highways, and neighborhoods transform the landscape into a geometric pattern. Pipelines, telephone wires, and all communication systems are formed into geometric patterns.
