Vladimir Putin liked the proposal, and he drew attention to the young man’s words that the question of whether to serve or not to serve in the army has no right to exist at all. “No one should have any doubts about this,” the president said. “There will be no country without an army!”
As Vladimir Putin told Nashi, “we need a civil society imbued with patriotism and concern for our country,” in which problems would be solved “not for money, but according to the dictates of the heart.”
